It could be bad news for black
Dynamite fans
I caught wind of an upcoming
comic book series for one of my favorite super heroes Black
Dynamite and boy was I hyped up. Why? and Who is Black
Dynamite you might ask? In 2009 a blaxploitation spoof about a
"former CIA agent and expert in all disciplines of international
ass kicking who fights against the man" was released in theaters.
It became an instant classic and has been built into a strong brand
in the entertainment industry.
IDW announced in March early
this year that they would be releasing a Black Dynamite comic book
series. Sound great but some underground sources are saying that
they plan to kill Black Dynamite in this comic book. no word from
IDW yet to confirm if these speculations are
true.
The comic book forum "The
Outhouse" writer Judy Terror wrote:
"When we saw how much publicity
DC Comics generated two weeks ago when Joshua Hale Fialkov walked
off his job as writer of Red Lantern and Green Lantern Corps due to
alleged editorial plans to kill prominent black Green Lantern John
Stewart, we thought to ourselves, 'we got to get some of this
action," said IDW editor in chief Chris Ryall in a quote that we
may have completely made up. "Unlike DC, however, we won't cave to
the pressure, and we'll kill this well-known African American
character for cheap shock value no matter how racist it may
be."
Now that’s heavy. the comic
book is set to be in news stands in September. Black Dynamite fans
world wide will be waiting till then.
