HIP HOP AND BOXING

Image description

I love Boxing. Not as much as I love hip hop but I do love boxing. I love the training and the philosophy that comes with boxing. It is one of the most competitive sport in the world. With Boxers Like Floyd Mayweather Earning $45 million plus his share in PPV revenue. I don’t think this would have been possible with out Hip-Hop. I’m not taking any credit from the man. He is a very hard worker and an incredible athlete. What I learned most from Floyd Mayweather's situation is that he is very intelligent when it comes to marketing his fights and him self as a brand. Now How does hip hop fit into all of this? Hip hop has strong roots in boxing from the Mike Tyson era. Like Basketball you can find pro Boxers that hangout with Popular rappers. When LL cool J battled Canibus it was Mike Tyson that featured and supported Canibus to come back with the second "round knockout" track.

HELP GSNYC LAND A SUPERBOWL AD

Floyd Mayweathers TMT(the Money team) is very popular in hip hop due to his friendship with 50cent. In his latest fight this weekend against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, he entered the ring with Rap artist Lil Wayne and R&B singer Justin Bieber.(Who is the most researched person on the Web). The Boxing Industry and the Rap Industry have gone hand and hand in some of the most historical events in both industries. It give us inspiration to see A man like Oscar DeLahoya come from fighter to promoter. Just like it inspiring to watch a rapper like 50cent come from the slums rapper and now owner of his own record label, clothing line and now he is a boxing promoter. we even have Rapping Boxers like Adrien Broner who is a force to be reckoned with in the ring...and has a  Drill sounding Trap song with Soulja Boy. Boxing and Hip hop ..One thing I know we have alot to look forward to in booth Industries.
