Best mainstream rap album to come out in the last year since ‘Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City’ and ‘Life is Good.’ Cole got his Drake on a little bit too much for my liking, but the sample-heavy instrumentals were on point and his overall growth as an artist, not just a rapper, is impressive. He certainly didn’t “Let Nas Down” with this one.
